I haven't been able to get in and see my studio yet - only talked to the building's owner. When I talked to them and told them I didn't know extent of damage to my studio (rented), just that it was bad, loss of equipment, loss of clients, etc., I was told they couldn't help me and that my claim would be forwarded to SBC - for a loan - no help at all. I thought they weren't allowing anyone back. I'd like to make a claim with FEMA but don't know the extent of the damage. Are you staying at your home, or did you just go in to retrieve things? To all who question the utility of offering spaces far from New Orleans, please know that people spread out in ALL directions, mostly where they could find family and friends, and we will all need to find work.
